Its Aloha Friday! Friday is a calm, relaxing day of rest in Hawaii. So, Friday is an easy going day on the blog too! I ask you a simple question, you respond with a simple answer. Then, if you choose, you can link up to Island Life and post your own question.
It is a lot of fun a great way to meet other bloggers!
Quesiton of the Week:
Did you go out today to shop during Balck Friday? if so, do you feel that it was worth all that you did?
My Answer:
There is nothing in this world that could drag me out of my bed and to a store with crazy people at 4am. Plus, I am finished shopping already.
Happy Friday

Busy Body Book Review and Giveaway

Well I'm not sure where to start with this giveaway. This organizer was an answer to all my disorganization. I have notes, reminders and stickies everywhere. In addition, I have a calender on the wall, my work schedule on the calender at work and then my husband has his calender because his schedule rotates week to week. With soccer, school plays and extra curricular activities for the kids and my job and my scrap booking hobby, I never knew if I (or anyone else)was coming or going.

In this organizer, there are 5 columns. This is nice because we are a family of 5. Each 2 page spread is a full week. Each family members name goes on the top and all activities can be added on the appropriate day. Also, on the left hand side, there is a to do/to buy list. This is so nice when I'm riding down the road and remember we need butter.

I also have enough room to include upcoming blog ideas, giveaway deadlines and company information. I use the pockets to put in the bills and mail that needs to be dropped off at the post office. It is a relief that all this information is now in one location. Also, the book is very durable and withstands the in and out of the purse, car, the hands of my children and a mishap with my coffee.

I have not found anything negative in my opinion in the BBB. I love this book and will never use anything else.

The scent of a woman

I was asked by TwitterMoms the following question, If you could define yourself with a scent, what scent would represent you and why?

Here's what I would define as the scent of myself:

Vanilla I'd have to say...Why? Well...besides the fact that its my favorite, I think it is a classic clean scent. It reminds me of a clean house and the Spring (my fav season).

Head on over to TwitterMoms and answer this question too, for a chance to win a free bottle of Downy Orchid Allure.

SleepyWrap Review and Giveaway!

How many of you moms can say that you have unsuccessfully have used so many different baby carriers that you lost count? I know I can. Baby carriers have come a long way since the basic book bag type carrier that I had for my daughter 9 years ago. So when I received one as a baby gift with my 1 year old, I was not excited. I actually put it in consignment and decided I wasn't even going to use one. Then I had the chance to review the Sleepy Wrap. I had heard many good things about this product but I was still skeptical about it.

When I received the wrap, my daughter was 10 months old. I didn't have the ability to experience the newborn experiences but I was hooked from the first baby wearing moment. She is a very loving child and loves to be held. So, I decided to use the wrap and then do laundry. It took a few times to get the hang of it but after I got it down, I headed downstairs to do laundry. She sat upright with her legs around my waist. At first, she really didn't know what to think. This was something she had never done before. After a few minutes, I believe she was just as in love as I was.

Since then, we dint leave the house without it. It avoids me having to put her in those Wal-Mart carts (ewwwwwww) which she hates. She also has the option of napping whenever she wants and all I have to do is pull the wrap up a bit more to cradle her head. I think this is one of the best inventions ever.

The wrap is available in Classic and Organic. If you chose the Classic you can chose from more than ten different colors. If you chose the Organic Wrap its available in either Natural or Khaki colors.

Here are some facts from the website:

1.gives great support for little heads and necks, especially when your baby falls asleep. Even toddlers...Just pull up the material for support.

2.your baby fits just perfectly every time. no guessing how much room you will need to leave for you baby to fit inside without being too tight or too loose

3.custom fit & one size fits all- simply tie the wrap carrier snug against your body and no matter what body type you are, it will fit!

4.good quality fabric

5.discreet nursing

6.your baby’s hips and legs are supported and not just hanging down

7.no pressure points on your baby -no pressure on developing hips or spines like other hard baby carriers which place pressure on your baby’s pelvis

8.holds your baby high

9.durable -sturdy fabric that doesn't stretch out or change shape with repeated washing or babywearing but is soft on baby's skin

10.much more snug than carrying a car seat or other bulky carrier

11.secure -no wrinkles, bulges of loose material, or sagging when babywearing

12.grows with you and your baby

13.no baby is too small because the baby wrap is designed for the smallest of babies.

14.ideal for kangaroo care - premature infants thrive when wrapped in a Sleepy Wrap(how awesome)

15.bilateral -wide straps over both shoulders so that there is no lopsided feeling like with babywearing in a sling

16.no time limit to how long your baby can stay in the wrap. With Sleepy Wrap there are no pressure points on mom or baby so you may carry your baby as long as you and your baby are comfortable

17.no digging straps or poking buckles or buttons

18.evenly distributes the weight of your baby

19.instructions are included with pictures for easy wearing

20.perfect for traveling unlike bulky strollers

21.cleans up nice. Just wash, tumble dry and wear.

22.affordable- a great value seeing that your baby will probably begin to walk on his own before he outgrows the wrap

23.natural sleep solution-Just you and your baby.

Are you excited? I sure am.

Lysol Disinfecting Spray and Wipes Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

I don't know about you but I am a germ freak! I am always washing my hands, wiping down surfaces, and disinfecting things. Actually, some of my friends tell me I'm obsessed. Well, sometimes you have to be. I am a Preschool teacher. In my Preschool, 40 little boys and girls spread and share germs everyday. Due to licencing rules, we are not allowed to use hand sanitizer so we have to be a bit more creative in killing the germs.

Earlier in the year, I read an article that stated the H1N1 flu virus will gain strength, effecting thousands. I was contacted to review Lysol products soon after that. I took this chance to show fellow teachers and parents that you CAN keep your family safe with just a bit more effort.

Here is what the website has to say:

The Lysol brand has teamed up with Dr. Laura Jana, a pediatrician, mother of three school aged-children and owner of an educational daycare center. She would like to share her back to school checklist with moms to help them prepare their children for a healthy and happy school year. Her tips include:

The Health administration is predicting a very serious cold and flu season, so teach your children about healthy hygiene habits before they go back to school and get exposed to classroom germs, like MRSA or H1N1 virus. Check out the new educational Web Site for kids, developed in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at oopkids.com. This kid-friendly Web site is designed to educate children about healthy hygiene habits and safety routines.

Send school germs packing by encouraging your children to drop their book bags, take off their shoes and leave their coats at the door when they walk in. Send them straight to the sink to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds (long enough to sing Happy Birthday twice!) while you spray their bags with Lysol Disinfectant Spray to help kill bacteria they may have picked up from the school bus,the playground or the classroom.

A few weeks back, our local primary schools were initially hit with the H1N1 virus. At this time, I decided to begin using the Lysol products in my classroom. Hand washing was a topic discussed all day. The children were informed on germs and how they can make us sick. I showed them how to wash hands correctly. On my end, i used the wipes I received to wipe tables, chairs, door knobs, toilets, ect. I used the spray a few times a day to spray the air and hard surfaces such as toys and books.

The H1N1 virus has passed in our area for now for the most part. Even though I couldn't keep all the children virus free, NONE of the teachers were effected by the virus. I always knew that Lysol had made awesome products but now I trust that they will keep my family safe from even H1N1.

We will continue to use the Lysol products and have encouraged the Preschool parents to do the same.

Win It: 2 lucky winners will have a chance to win 1 can of disinfecting spray and 2 tubs of wipes (one for home and one to send to the classroom).

Protect A Bed Mattress Protector Review & Giveaway{CLOSED}

Have you really ever given much thought to what is in your bed...other than you and your spouse, child, dog, ect? Up until recently, neither did I. I changed my sheets once a week but other than that...nothing special was ever done to my mattress. When I bought my bed several years ago, I also purchased the "premium" mattress cover to with it. It was still on my bed until recently but didnt prevent the HUGE cup of Dr. Pepper from staining my mattress. Now that I think of it, I dont know why I bothered.

I recently watched a show on dust mites, bed bugs, creepy crawly things that live in your bed. I had always thought that my consistant sinus infections were due to the old house that we lived in. However, I releized when we moved into a brand new home, it wasnt my house.

So, needless to say, I was very excited to receive and review the Protect A Bed mattress cover. The first night, I noticed a difference in my breathing. Within a few days, I didnt wake up coughing at all during that night. My sinus related headaches have decreased almost 100% and no more antibotics (knock on wood)! So, since I'm not the professional, I have included some of the Protect a Bed facts from the website...

Guaranteed to moderate temperature and enhance sleeping comfort – Which is awesome because I am always cold and my husband is always hot.

• Waterproof yet air vapor porous - acting the same way as human skin Effective in preventing bacteria and dust mites from breeding in your pillow and mattress (a major cause of asthma, eczema and rhinitis)

• Protects mattresses from stains

• Machine washable on hot, tumble dry medium

• Especially helpful in cases of incontinence

• Ultra thin with four-way stretch does not detract from the comfort of the mattress

• Can be used on all visco elastic, inner spring and latex mattresses

• Fitted-sheet style

• Expandable skirt ensures mattress protector fits any depth of mattress (8" to 20")
• Wash durability rating: > 200 washes

• Soft and super absorbent – Made of a terry cloth material. I love this soft material

• Can be sterilized at 121° C/250° F

I really wish that I would have known about this cover a long time ago. I would have spent my money on mattress covers that helped my family (they come in all sizes, crib to California King).

And just to make sure, I poured Crystal Light (red) on my mattress cover and allowed it to sit for a few. Not only did it not allow the drink to pass through, the Crystal Light didn't stain the cover. How awesome is that! I'm sold...

Buy It: You can head over to Protect A Bed and purchase yours today!

Win It: The wonderful people at Protect A Bed are offering one of my lucky readers a chance to win your very own mattress cover.
