Seventh Generation Review and Giveaway

I have always been a bit "over the top" when it comes to cleaning my house. More so now that I have children then ever before. I usually spend my evening straighting and my weekends doing the deep cleaning. A few things I have always hated about cleaning is the smell of chemicals, the chance that the products are not safe for my children, the products that don't do as they say they will and the sticky residue left behind.

I have to say that no matter what the cleaning product, I am very skeptical about them. It was no different when I received the Seventh Generation products. I received the Living Home Starter Kit which included Kitchen Cleaner, All Purpose Cleaner, Glass and Surface Cleaner, Shower Cleaner, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Tub and Tile Cleaner, and a roll of 100% recycled Brown Paper Towels. They couldn't have come at a better time though. My best friend was moving and needed to clean her apartment. I tool all the products to her apartment and we got to work.

I was impressed by every product we used. No streaks were left on the windows with the glass cleaner. We sprayed the Glass Cleaner, Shower Cleaner, Tub and Tile Cleaner and used the Toilet Bowl Cleaner and left them to sit...with the door closed. When we came back, not only was there very little smell, but all the hard water stains were GONE! No scrubbing required, just a quick rinse. The biggest convincer for me was, upon management inspection, my friend was reminded that the stove must be cleaned. She sprayed the All-Purpose Cleaner and wiped it out...good as new. Amazing.

Each product proudly lists all the ingredients in the formula to show no harmful additives are included. You can see them online before you buy and on the bottle once purchased.

Buy It: The prices are comparable to any name brand cleaner in the store ($4.99), which convinces me even more these are the products I will buy. You can buy the products in many stores such as Martin's and Kroger's. You can shop online at Seventh Generation and many other online stores.

Win It: The wonderful people at Seventh Generation has offered one of my lucky readers the entire Living Home Starter Kit (pictured above).

Mandatory Entry: Visit Seventh Generation and tell one fact that makes you excited about the products.

Dropps Laundry Soap Review and Giveaway

Laundry detergent is something that is very important in my house. I wash laundry on a daily basis. In addition to finding a cost effective detergent, my son is very allergic to eave my many detergents so I can't buy just any detergent. I also require my detergent to be at least 2x concentrated and leaving my clothes smelling great.

When I received Laundry Dropps, I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical. I received 2 formulas-Fresh Scent and Scent & Dye Free. I didn't feel that a pack that tiny was really going to clean and refresh my clothes. Well, I was very wrong. The first load of laundry I did was towels and I used the Dye & Scent Free. I am so picky about my towels. I have to say I was impressed. Even though there was no smell, they were refreshed and looked clean. I used the Fresh Scent to was my son's clothes. This was the ultimate test. I loved the refreshing smell that was on the clothes and I didn't have to worry about pretreating the stains because that is also in that tiny pack. But, I wasn't sure that it wouldn't break him out. After a few days and no sign of a rash, I knew we were good.

Another great fact about dropps is it is mess free. No pouring, spilling, dropping. The small pack goes into the washer (HE washers OK). This makes less work for me becuase there is no wiping up spills or cleaning out my sticky cabinet.

Dropps is currently available in Fresh Scent, Scent + Dye Free, and Dropps Baby (Scent, Dye, and Enzyme Free).

Buy It: You can purchase Dropps online on the Dropps website, amazon.com, samsclub.com, target.com, cvs.com, drugstore.com, and walmart.com in addition to in select stores nationwide.

Win It: The wonderful people at Dropps has offered one of my lucky readers a free 3-month supply (3-20 load pouches) of Laundry Dropps.

Boogie Wipes Review and Giveaway

There is nothing more unpleasant than a child with a cold and having to wipe their nose. It really makes me sad when they cry. I do believe that if I would have discovered these years ago, life for me and my children would have been much better during the cold season.

I am so thankful that I had the chance to review these wipes. I will never use a tissue on my children's noses again. Boogie Wipes makes the wipes in 30-count packs and they offer 3 different scents-Fresh, Grape and Magic Menthol. Emma's just got over a cold and we used the wipes for the first time. At first I was skeptical. Emma hates me to wipe her face and really hates for me to touch her nose. The first day, I gave her one to play with. Immediately, she realized that these wipes smell good. Being that she is only 13 months, she doesn't talk much but she scrunched up her nose and made a smelling noise. I knew at that point, this would be a good thing. Since then, almost every nose wipe has been pleasant. In addition, Emma "wipes" her own nose now.

How are Boogie Wipes different than a regular baby wipe? (Taken from Boogie Wipes Website)
Made with Natural Saline to Dissolve Mucus
Hypoallergenic
Alcohol Free
Moisturize with Vitamin E, Aloe and Chamomile
Fun Scents Kids Love
Gentle Enough for All Ages

Win It: The wonderful people at Boogie Wipes has offered one of my lucky readers a chance to win 2 30-count packs (Grape and Fresh)

Let's Get Ready to Learn Review and Giveaway

Let's Get Ready to Learn Review and Giveaway

Being that I am a Pre-K Teacher, I personally understand the importance of making sure that each and every child is more than ready when they leave my classroom. There are so many curriculum options out there, it is nearly impossible to find the best or even a functional program.

This is why I was so excited to receive Cedar Valley's Lets Get Ready books. Stacy was wonderful to work with and after some research I found that she is a very successful woman and Stacey is an authority in the education field. Her education and experience helps me to feel comfortable to use this is my classroom.

This book begins with basic skills that your Kindergartener will need before they enter Kindergarten.Your child will then be introduced to the guide for the book named Mrs Good, the Kindergarten teacher and the Cedar Valley Kids. Your child then is slowly introduced to all the skills including the alphabet, colors, shapes, numbers, opposites, the time, their telephone number and many more. Lets Get Ready for Kindergarten ends with a list of Parent and Care-giver tips. The list is detailed words of wisdom from a wise mother.

This book is also available as a bi-lingual edition. (Spanish-English)

Let Get Ready for First Grade follows the same layout for the most part. However, in First Grade your child's teacher is Ms. Best and an older group of Cedar Valley kids are her students. In this book, your rising first grader will learn about vowels, consonants, word families, geometric shapes, food groups, addition, ordinals and much more. This book also ends with a list of great Parent-Caregiver tips.

There are so many other things that sold me on this book. I love that it is laminated and we can write, wipe and re-write on the pages. The pages are thick and srong, allowing me to believe that the pages are durable and will last quite some time. Each book was also scrutinized by experts and awarded the Adding Wisdom award, thereby only adding further strength to each book's substance. The best of all is that 10% of profits from the sales of each book is donated to literacy programs.

Buy It: You can buy your own copy of Let's get ready for $15 or $17 here.

Win It: One lucky ready will receive you own set of Let's Get Ready to Read books.

Mandatory Entry: Go to Ceder Valley and tell me your favorite fact.

Safe Sippy 2 Review and Giveaway

The Safe Sippy 2 Review and Giveaway

Since I am in the middle of the transition from bottle to cup, trying the Safe Sippy 2 was a blessing. I had never tried any version on the Safe Sippy in the past but have heard so many great things.

So, the Safe Sippy 2 has all the same wonderful features of the original but as added features includes a travel plug, a travel cap, and even a straw adapter! However, you don't have to use the straw. There are 3 adapters included with the cup. One adapter completely plugs it just in case it ends up upside down in the diaper bag, one allows the child to drink like a normal sippy, and the third one allows the use of a straw. The Safe Sippy 2 also has removable handles and is covered thermoplastic rubber sleeve placed over most of the safe sippy. This allows the child to drink comfortably while the stainless steel and the drink on the inside is cold.

The best part of the Safe Sippy 2 is that it was designed with the child's health in mind. There is very little plastic that comes in contact with your child's drink, making drinking much safer. I was also interested to learn that the straw spout was used because the wide shaped spout is believed to cause speech delays.

The only downfall to this cup is that I noticed sometimes there was a small drip. Not too big of a deal in my house because Emma doesn't stop drinking until its all gone.

All in all, I am very happy with the Safe Sippy 2 and plan on never using another brand of cup.

The wonderful folks at The Soft Landing has offered one of my lucky reader a Safe Sippy 2 in their choice of color.

Buy It: Head on over to The Soft Landing and pick out your favorite color for $15.95.

Win It: One lucky winner will receive the entire Naturals line.

Mandatory Entry: Go to The Soft Landing and tell me what color Safe Sippy 2 you would pick.
