I have always been a bit "over the top" when it comes to cleaning my house. More so now that I have children then ever before. I usually spend my evening straighting and my weekends doing the deep cleaning. A few things I have always hated about cleaning is the smell of chemicals, the chance that the products are not safe for my children, the products that don't do as they say they will and the sticky residue left behind.I have to say that no matter what the cleaning product, I am very skeptical about them. It was no different when I received the Seventh Generation products. I received the Living Home Starter Kit which included Kitchen Cleaner, All Purpose Cleaner, Glass and Surface Cleaner, Shower Cleaner, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Tub and Tile Cleaner, and a roll of 100% recycled Brown Paper Towels. They couldn't have come at a better time though. My best friend was moving and needed to clean her apartment. I tool all the products to her apartment and we got to work.
I was impressed by every product we used. No streaks were left on the windows with the glass cleaner. We sprayed the Glass Cleaner, Shower Cleaner, Tub and Tile Cleaner and used the Toilet Bowl Cleaner and left them to sit...with the door closed. When we came back, not only was there very little smell, but all the hard water stains were GONE! No scrubbing required, just a quick rinse. The biggest convincer for me was, upon management inspection, my friend was reminded that the stove must be cleaned. She sprayed the All-Purpose Cleaner and wiped it out...good as new. Amazing.
Each product proudly lists all the ingredients in the formula to show no harmful additives are included. You can see them online before you buy and on the bottle once purchased.
Buy It: The prices are comparable to any name brand cleaner in the store ($4.99), which convinces me even more these are the products I will buy. You can buy the products in many stores such as Martin's and Kroger's. You can shop online at Seventh Generation and many other online stores.
Win It: The wonderful people at Seventh Generation has offered one of my lucky readers the entire Living Home Starter Kit (pictured above).
Mandatory Entry: Visit Seventh Generation and tell one fact that makes you excited about the products.

ReplyDeleteThe reason why corn- and soy-based ingredients are common in natural products is because they are abundant, and therefore cost-effective, sources of oils and polysaccharides that can be converted into ingredients that function as solvents, surfactants, foaming agents, thickeners and water softeners.
ReplyDeleteI love their baby wipes. They are the only wipes that don't make my daughter break out. I looked them up on their site and learned their wipes are "Free of dyes and fragrances, our baby wipes contain a cleansing agent that is gentle on baby’s tender skin. Our wipes are made with soft cloth that has not been processed with chemicals containing chlorine."
